REVOPOINT / Product guides
INSPIRE 2 combines infrared structured-light and infrared laser-line capture approaches. That gives you choices, but a choice of modes also means the computer, software, tracking references and object preparation need to be planned together.
Use a short sample job to establish the right arrangement before capturing an important part. Older launch material is useful background, not a reliable substitute for the current compatibility information for your installed software and device.

1. Choose a mode for the actual subject

Begin with the object's size, geometry and finish. A feature-rich model and a low-feature mechanical component may require different capture approaches. Select a supported mode, then test the smallest feature that matters to the project.
Read the tracking requirements for that mode. If marker references are required, arrange them before scanning and keep them stable and visible. Do not assume that a mode demonstrated on a well-prepared object will work equally well on every similar-looking material.
2. Confirm the complete connection workflow
Check the current official download information for your scanner, platform and intended mode. A scanner supporting mobile use does not mean every capture mode runs directly inside the mobile application.
If a workflow uses a computer with remote viewing on a phone, the computer remains part of the capture arrangement. Confirm the supported connection and power equipment before leaving the bench. A wireless data connection should not be mistaken for proof that no external power or computer is required.
3. Test difficult surfaces and changing light
Dark, polished and transparent materials are different challenges. Check the returned geometry on each important region rather than treating a broad no-spray statement as a promise. Some surfaces may still need suitable preparation after compatibility and safety checks.
Where the selected configuration supports outdoor work, avoid assuming every lighting condition is acceptable. Test in the actual environment, monitor the preview and reduce interference when necessary. Follow the model's safety instructions; infrared technology alone does not justify a blanket claim about every mode or subject.
4. Check geometry before choosing the final output
Capture overlapping views and inspect recesses, edges and the underside. Pause when tracking becomes uncertain and return through a recognised area. More frames do not automatically improve a model if they introduce misaligned surfaces.
Keep the source project, then clean and process a copy. For printing, inspect the mesh and genuine openings; for CAD work, treat the scan as geometric reference that may need reconstruction. Reopen the final export and check scale, coverage and important features in its destination application.
Build your REVOPOINT workflow with Creality AU
A successful trial should prove the mode, connection and output together. Explore the REVOPOINT INSPIRE 2 and confirm the package and computing requirements for your planned workflow rather than assuming all setups are identical.
