REVOPOINT / Product guides
The Photogrammetric Metrology Kit, or PMK, adds a reference-building stage to a MIRACO Plus workflow. It is not simply an ordinary marker pack, and photographing the targets is not the same operation as scanning the object's surface.
Revopoint's source material specifies MIRACO Plus compatibility. Do not assume the kit works with MIRACO or MIRACO Pro, or that it is included in every Plus purchase. Confirm the actual configuration and current instructions before planning the job.

1. Treat the reference arrangement as part of the setup

Plan access around the object and provide stable positions for the prescribed scale bars, coded targets and ordinary scanning markers. These items serve different roles. Identify them before placement rather than assuming every printed target is interchangeable.
Follow the current kit guidance for distribution, visibility and scale-bar arrangement. Keep the object and reference components fixed relative to one another. A target or bar that moves after photography changes the arrangement the reference calculation is intended to describe.
2. Establish the correct scale information
Check the procedure for registering the scale information supplied with your actual kit. Use the correct identification and records for those physical bars; do not substitute remembered values or details from another set.
Before proceeding, confirm that the required reference information is available in the project. Keep a record of the setup and kit identity, particularly when several operators or kits are used. Clear records make later investigation easier if a result appears inconsistent.
3. Photograph the references before scanning surfaces

Capture the target arrangement from the range of viewpoints prescribed by the manufacturer. Maintain clear views and useful continuity between neighbouring areas instead of taking many nearly identical photographs from one position.
Review the photographic coverage before calculating the reference coordinates. An obscured target or missed side is easier to address while the original arrangement is still intact. This photographic stage establishes references; it does not replace the later point-cloud capture of the object's shape.
4. Scan, process and verify the combined result
Once the reference stage is complete, capture the surface using the prescribed MIRACO Plus workflow. Monitor tracking and coverage as you would for any demanding scan. Photogrammetric references do not make transparent surfaces or hidden recesses automatically visible.
Preserve the project before cleanup and inspect alignment, completeness and scale in the processed result. Verify the dimensions relevant to the intended use with an appropriate independent method. Do not treat the presence of a PMK project as automatic certification of the final model.

Plan the reference and surface stages together, but check each separately. View the REVOPOINT MIRACO Plus locally and confirm kit contents, compatibility and any separately required equipment. PMK inclusion must be checked against the actual package.
