REVOPOINT / How-to & tips
A useful repeat check starts with a precise question: which profile, at which location, on which part revision? Saving a routine before settling those details can simply repeat the wrong comparison.
Try the small exercise below on a familiar, non-critical component. Our suggested review steps are practical planning advice, not a claim that Creality AU has tested your parts or established an inspection method.

1. Write a section-location note
For example, imagine checking the profile of a printed cover near its mounting face. Mark the intended cutting position on a reference photograph or drawing. Record the revision, units and the question you want answered. This is a planning example, not a measured customer result.
Keep that note specific enough for someone else to locate the same region. A screenshot that merely looks similar is a weak starting point for repeated work.
2. Establish the profile before measuring it
Revo Measure locates a section using a coordinate system or an existing plane feature. Its profile tools include distance, angle, radius and thickness measurements between suitable segments.
Check the section against your location note before selecting dimensions. Label the particular result you need rather than collecting every available number. Do not infer an internal wall from a scan that never captured its opposite surface. If the required geometry is missing, obtain suitable data instead of measuring a repaired guess.
3. Keep the reference comparison explicit

Reference Section Comparison needs imported, aligned scan and reference data. It displays the two profiles together for comparison.
Before interpreting a gap, identify which profile is the measured part and which is the intended reference. Review the alignment and section position. Keep any acceptance decision separate from the visual result: a close-looking overlay is not, by itself, approval of the part. For the broader handover checks, read our import-to-report guide.
4. Save a checked routine, not an unfinished experiment

Export as Template preserves a completed measurement workflow and requires a reference CAD or mesh. To change a template, edit its original project and export it again.
Retain that original project beside a short revision note. Give the routine a name that identifies its intended component and check. Before sharing it, confirm the installed edition and licence provide the required tools; do not assume the Basic edition includes everything shown in the manual.
5. Pilot before expanding the run
Template settings include folder-based measurement, optional file monitoring, stop conditions, exception handling and report location.
Start with a separate folder containing one clearly identified test file. Inspect the resulting report and compare it with your checked manual exercise. Only extend the routine after understanding any differences. Keep unrelated revisions out of that folder, review exceptions and record who checks the outputs.
