REVOPOINT / How-to & tips
A handover is successful when the receiving copy is usable, not merely when a progress bar finishes. Before connecting MIRACO to a computer, decide whether you want to continue an existing capture, deliver a finished model or record a new scan through the computer.
Those are different jobs. Making the choice first avoids arriving at the desk with an attractive mesh but none of the working data needed for further processing.

1. Decide what the next person needs
The MIRACO manual describes a project as including capture settings, raw data, processed data and operation history. A final exported model is a different handover item. Name the deliverable clearly: for example, a working capture for further editing or a checked mesh for the receiving application.
Record the object identity, capture date and any incomplete regions. If someone else will use the file, agree whether appearance, geometry or recoverable processing matters most. Do not send several similarly named versions and leave that decision to the recipient.
2. Transfer existing data through the matching software route

In Revo Scan 6, MIRACO import supports USB File Transfer or a same-network Wi-Fi route using a code or QR method. Keep the sending app and screen active during transfer. Its drag-and-drop model import is not a universal route for Revo Scan 5 projects.
The MIRACO hardware manual also contains Revo Scan 5 menu instructions. Match your installed version instead of mixing labels from the two manuals. If the expected choice is absent, stop and check the current instructions; repeated reconnecting or renaming files does not establish compatibility.
3. Do not confuse transfer with live PC scanning
MIRACO can also act as a PC-connected scanner. That records through the computer rather than simply copying an existing capture. Screen casting is another separate function. Choose the intended activity before accepting a connection prompt.
For a working session, make a small trial and check where its data is saved. For a handover, open the existing capture on the receiving computer. Keep the exercise small enough that you can identify exactly which result came from which activity.
4. Verify the receiving copy before moving on
Open the transferred item independently and inspect a familiar feature, the underside and any unfinished area. Confirm that the editing data you intended to preserve is actually available. Keep the scanner's source until the receiving copy has passed these checks and your backup arrangement is settled.
When delivering a final model, reopen it in its destination application and check size, orientation and essential openings. Use our STL, OBJ and PLY guide for format choices; successful transfer alone does not prove a file is ready for printing or CAD work.
